Agricultural education will be a major portion of this page, but first and foremost, I would like to bring attention to the humble beginnings of why I wanted to dive into this career in the first place. What you are looking at is one of the first free-thinking pieces I designed in high school. My instructor wanted every student to create anything they wanted with any machine.

Previously, I was always an art student who would sketch instead of doing math problems, and I found it as a way to relax. On the other hand, out of school, I was always working for my family repairing diesel trucks. The idea that metal working could not only be for industry, but to create art, was something I never thought I would get the chance to do.

As I went through many different designs and a variety of ideas, a few friends of mine joined in on this venture. Once we all created our own fun sculptures, we vowed to forever create all our upcoming projects with a touch of our personality in the designs.

This was one of the many firsts in which I saw students gaining their own pride in putting themselves out there and finding a space in which they felt was engaging and comfortable for embracing their skills and knowledge without hesitation. There are always constant opportunities to educate students. Effective leaders recognize these moments and use them to confidently guide students toward discovering their passions, fostering growth, self-belief, and a sense of purpose.
